Saint Catherines Metalworks
Some years ago, a potential customer approached Saint Catherine’s Metalworks (SCM) with a very serious requirement for welded vessels. The vessels have to be pressure tested and have zero leaks. The vessels will ultimately hold gasoline, diesel or aircraft fuels so all aspects of the assembly are critical. Known as "tankers" or "bowzers" the ones we make are 30 gallon and 100 gallon capacity.  We cut, form, and weld all the welded components with skilled welders and the MIG welding process. After metal testing, they were to be powder coated, assembled and packed for shipment around the United States and Canada. Saint Catherine’s was able to satisfy the customer requirements and more. Several components for the tankers were designed and CNC machined in our machine shop, decreasing project time and hassles of multiple shipping logistics plans. The Tempo Portable Fuel Tankers have become a signature project for Saint Catherine’s Metalworks. We have assisted with certification and testing, designed and fabricated several internal fuel flow components, and provided on time deliver to many high profile partners such as Chrysler, Ford, General Motors, and the US Government. We have carried on with the production of the tankers for over ten years. While the tankers have evolved many times with new fuel line designs, new pumps, new brackets, UL brake requirement modifications and tests, we have been able to meet Tempo’s requirements year after year. SCM approaches every fabrication with the highest quality capabilities and we are constantly evolving for the better.
